Payette has one of the older housing stocks in the valley. Around downtown you’ll find early-1900s homes and mid-century houses that have been through several heating systems: some with original ductwork sized for a furnace that’s long gone, some converted from oil, some with rooms that never got a duct at all.

That makes Payette a good place for honest airflow work. A new furnace on old, undersized or leaky ducts won’t deliver what it should, and a ductless mini-split can be the cleanest way to heat and cool an addition or upstairs room the main system never reached.

Idaho Power provides electricity and Intermountain Gas provides natural gas in town. Out on the farms and along the river roads, propane and electric heat are common.

Payette questions

Heating and air questions from Payette.

My Payette home is old. Can it get central air?

Often, yes. If there’s existing ductwork in decent shape, central AC or a heat pump can usually be added. If the ducts are undersized, damaged or missing, a ductless mini-split is often the better fit. We’ll look at the house and tell you which makes sense.

One room in my house is always cold. What causes that?

In older homes the usual causes are an undersized or disconnected duct, a long duct run through an unheated space, or a room that was added without its own supply. A service visit can check airflow at each register and find the weak link.

Do you still work on oil furnaces?

Near Me lists oil furnaces among the furnace types it installs and services, along with gas and electric. If your Payette home still has an oil system, call and describe it.

Extremely happy with the service and the price, Daniel is straight forward with everything and didn't do anything that wasn't necessary like others I have had in the past. Definitely who I will be calling for everything from now on and he gave me a time not a 6 hour window and was here on time both days. Thank you again for your help, honesty and prices.
